Lead Developer

Position: Lead Developer (Microsoft Dynamics 365)

Location: Bucharest, Romania (Remote - delegations to UK required)

Role Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Lead Developer (Microsoft Dynamics 365) to take ownership of the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-level Dynamics 365 solutions.

The selected professional will play a key leadership role in driving the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Sales, Marketing, and Planner modules), ensuring system scalability, seamless integrations, and alignment with business objectives. This position combines hands-on technical development, solution architecture oversight, and team leadership, making it ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Development

• Lead the design, customization, and enhancement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules, including Sales, Marketing, and Planner.

• Implement and optimize Business Process Flows (BPF) to ensure accurate pipeline forecasting and standardized sales processes.

• Enhance the Dynamics 365 Opportunity Entity by adding new fields, optimizing data flow, and improving dashboard usability.

• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and security standards while adhering to development best practices.

Integration & Automation

• Oversee integrations with external platforms such as Campaign Monitor, Microsoft Planner, and RIVA, ensuring seamless data synchronization across systems.

• Design, develop, and maintain Power Automate flows for task creation, updates, alerts, and business rule automation.

• Collaborate with business analysts and system architects to streamline processes through workflow automation and system interoperability.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

• Provide technical direction, coaching, and mentorship to Dynamics 365 developers and configuration specialists.

• Establish and enforce coding standards, development guidelines, and architectural best practices.

• Conduct code reviews and promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the development team.

Architecture & Quality Assurance

• Conduct regular architecture and performance reviews, ensuring the Dynamics 365 ecosystem remains scalable, efficient, and well-integrated.

• Address and resolve technical challenges related to data silos, disconnected systems, and cross-platform integrations.

• Maintain alignment between business objectives and system design, ensuring long-term sustainability of the Dynamics 365 solution.

Reporting & Monitoring

• Develop and configure dashboards, reports, and data views using out-of-the-box Dynamics 365 and Power BI features to improve business insights and forecasting accuracy.

• Monitor system health, performance, and usage, identifying and implementing optimization opportunities.

• Ensure reporting frameworks support both operational and strategic decision-making needs.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience (5+ years) in Microsoft Dynamics 365 development and integration, with a strong focus on Sales, Marketing, or related modules.

• Expertise in Power Automate, Microsoft Planner, and integration with external platforms such as Campaign Monitor and RIVA.

• Solid understanding of Dynamics 365 architecture, customization, and deployment management across multiple environments (Development, Test, UAT, Production).

• Demonstrated experience leading development teams and managing technical deliverables within enterprise environments.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a structured and analytical approach to system design and troubleshooting.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across technical and business teams.

• Fluency in English (written and spoken); Romanian is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Microsoft certifications such as Dynamics 365 Developer Associate, Power Platform Developer Associate, or equivalent.

• Experience integrating Dynamics 365 with BI tools (Power BI) and other enterprise systems.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and environment management.
