We are looking for a Product Owner to lead the development and expansion of digital and financial products for legal entities, with a strong focus on SMEs and business partners. This role is part of the Product Lab and requires a blend of deep product ownership, strong business acumen, and cross-functional leadership.

You will drive the creation of innovative lending flows, enhance digital service channels, and expand the value proposition for both existing and prospective business clients. Your work will span across key product areas such as lending, onboarding, servicing, and value-added digital tools, with a clear focus on building scalable, customer-centric banking solutions across Romania and Bulgaria.

What You'll do:

Product Ownership & Strategy

• Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for SME and business partner clients, working closely with the Business Owner.

• Align product development with organizational goals such as improving time-to-money, increasing loan penetration, and expanding the SME product portfolio.

• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to identify strategic opportunities.

• Act as the domain expert for SME business products, including both lending and non-lending services.

Lending Development

• Design and continuously improve digital lending journeys tailored for SMEs (e.g., cash loans, overdrafts, in-store and e-commerce financing).

• Define detailed product requirements and lead cross-functional collaboration for delivery across platforms.

• Oversee process simplification, flow optimization, and lending automation initiatives.

Digital Channel Expansion

• Lead the development of digital servicing channels for business clients (internet & mobile banking).

• Translate business needs into technical requirements for account management, payments, credit access, and partner services.

• Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle: planning, development, testing, launch, and performance tracking.

Product Development Oversight

• Guide the product development process and ensure timely, high-quality feature delivery.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, reviews), answer dev team queries, and manage prioritization.

• Serve as the main interface between stakeholders and development teams, collecting feedback and adjusting scope as needed.

• Actively support UAT and business acceptance testing.

Customer-Centric Design & Innovation

• Collect feedback from SMEs via interviews, analytics, and surveys to inform product development.

• Champion the SME user throughout the lifecycle, ensuring the product meets real business needs.

• Design scalable tools and services that increase SME engagement and retention.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Business Analysts, UX, Compliance, Risk, Marketing, and Operations to ensure delivery and alignment.

• Communicate product goals, updates, and changes to internal stakeholders and broader teams.

• Maintain deep product knowledge and act as the go-to expert for product-related questions or decisions.

What you'll need to succeed:

• 3+ years in product ownership, product management, or business development – ideally in banking or fintech.

• Strong understanding of SME client needs and business banking models.

• Proven experience developing digital financial products, especially lending and servicing platforms.

• Ability to work across multiple markets and navigate varying regulatory and operational environments.

• Business-driven mindset focused on growth, scalability, and customer value.

• Strategic thinker with strong prioritization skills and focus on measurable outcomes.

• Experience in defining product KPIs and tracking performance.
