About the Role

Corporater is seeking an experienced AWS/Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team in Bucharest.

This position is being established to strengthen our center of excellence for infrastructure operations, ensure business continuity, and uphold our global SLAs for cloud performance, availability, and security.

You will be part of a highly skilled team responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing our global hybrid cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and on-premises data centers. This role replaces an existing position and aims to relieve workload pressure on the team, ensuring sustainable operations and continued excellence in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and optimize AWS and Azure environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes in collaboration with development teams.
• Oversee virtual machines, networking, storage, identity management, and backup strategies across environments.
• Maintain and improve system monitoring, alerting, and incident response mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with corporate IT security standards, ISO 27001, and GDPR requirements.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders across global offices to ensure uptime and reliability of production and internal systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide escalation support for critical infrastructure incidents.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3– years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, system administration, or DevOps roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with both AWS and Azure (EC2, S3, RDS, Azure VM, Storage Accounts, VNets, etc.).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or container orchestration tools is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
• Experience using monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Practical experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a proactive, "own it" mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
