C System Software Engineer

We're looking for talented C developers with expertise in any one of the following areas: kernel low-level programming, compiler optimization, database-like processing algorithms, or general C programming. If you have a deep passion for C programming and experience that dates back to your high school days, we want to hear from you

Depending 
on your interests/skills and our needs
, you will write, debug and maintain C software for

• Generic Programming: Implement diverse program flows and library functions.
• Data Processing Algorithms: Develop abstract data structures resembling database systems for optimized data storage and retrieval.
• Kernel Development: Implement and maintain kernel features such as memory management, syscalls, and IRQ handling.
• Hardware Integration: Create custom drivers or integrate open-source packages like DPDK and SPDK.
• Compiler Optimization: Collaborate on compiler design to enhance performance and efficiency.

In all cases you must

• Write code mostly in C
• Adhere entirely to our rules for writing and documenting codex
• Create test units for automated test scenarios
• Continuously research alternative algorithms and solutions for assigned tasks
• Advocate for best coding practices among the group and develop tools to enhance the team's coding speed
• Occasionally, you may be involved in administrative side projects that require programming.

We mostly work

• We work online via Zoom in small teams of 2-3 people, continuously discussing how to implement assignments
• Our focus on the task is complete, leaving little time for other activities
• You are encouraged to offer help to your colleagues frequently, just as they are expected to respond to your questions
• Log your activity in Jira twice daily

YOU WILL BE PAID

• First year salary: Between 9,000 and 18,000+ RON net per month depending on your seniority and experience
• Annual Raises: 5% starting from month 25 at contract anniversaries
• You will receive 
  three bonuses every year
• Between months 13 and 24, each bonus ranges from 4,000 to 6,000 EUR
• Starting from month 25, each bonus ranges from 6,000 to 9,000 EUR
• All extra hours paid with a bonus of 75%

You can expect a 
net annual income
 of 43,200 EUR in the first year, over 58,200 EUR in the second year, and more than 65,700 EUR starting from the third year.

YOU WOULD BE A GREAT FIT IF

It is essential to identify yourself as the person having all the following traits

• Be an experienced C programmer with a strong theoretical foundation in the language.
• Have started programming in C during high school and continued since then.
• Hold a degree from a national college or have participated in science contests.
• Be proficient with Git for version control (commits, clones, etc.).
• Have experience integrating open-source packages into projects.
• Possess strong English language skills.
• Demonstrate expertise in your area of interest (kernel development, compilers, databases, algorithms, or libraries).
