Job Description
Reporting to the European IT Manager, you will be part of the Level 2 Internal Support Organization. You will provide primary end user support to our Romanian office users.

This position will expose you to a variety of Windows operating systems, Linux, hardware, Office365, Active Directory, remote software deployment solutions, ticketing systems, and support in the areas of networking, servers, storage, and messaging. Future development may include working towards supervising part of the Europe IT support organization.

Key Job Responsibilities/duties Include

• Provide day-to-day technical support to employees for internal hardware and software as well as support for network, server, and storage infrastructure for 200+ users.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop systems, and install and modify different operating systems and software in a diverse environment.
• Participate in the development of IT infrastructure projects
• IT Procurement for all type of IT related parts.
• Receiving and booking of parts.
• Warehouse inventory ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Delivery of parts to internal clients.
• Returning of internal parts, either to stock or disposal, in line with GDPR.
• Tracking and updating within the internal ticketing system.
• Oversee security reports, undertaking updates and patching to ensure we have secure computers in place.
• Organizing repair or replacement of hardware from vendors.
• Datacenter Maintenance and Documentation
• Assisting with other technical functional teams.
• Demonstrate and adhere to the Microchip values.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years supporting Desktop and server operating systems.
• Willing to work with multiple users during any given day.
• Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment focused on problem solving.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Fluent in English is mandatory, both written and spoken.
• This role requires full-time in office presence
