Job Overview

We are continuously working to improve our organization, products and processes and are therefore looking for a Senior Software Tester who can help us to take steps in the field of automated testing. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our testing strategy, working with the latest technologies.

The Senior Software Tester has a central role in the team and works closely with developers, product owners, consultants, the Zig | service desk, delivery managers, customers and other software testers. As a Senior Software Tester, you know every nook and cranny of the application and contribute to product development.

You will be responsible for the quality of a product that is crucial for the business operations of real estate organizations, tenants, and home seekers. Every mistake you find makes our customers' day-to-day work better.

In your role of Senior Software Tester at Zig, you can exert a lot of influence on the maturity and professionalism of our tests. You'll be working on one of Zig's most important products. You will join a fun and enthusiastic team that pays a lot of attention to quality. Together, you will take steps in the field of automated testing in the near future.

Responsibilities

• Developing test plans and strategies. You think along with the acceptance criteria of tickets and develop strategies to make new functionalities of the website and online portals work correctly.
• Performing functional and regression testing. You manually test the functionalities of the website and online portals to ensure that they meet the requirements and perform regression tests to check new releases for unintended impact on already existing functionalities.
• Coordinating release rollout. You are co-responsible for coordinating the rollout of releases and ensuring a smooth rollout of new releases.
• Reporting and documenting findings. You report and document all findings during testing so that the development team can troubleshoot issues.
• Writing Automated Tests. You will independently write automated tests to speed up and automate testing efforts so that more tests can be run in less time.
• You will participate in all Scrum Ceremonies and other meetings.
• You work together with colleagues from different countries.

Requirements

• In possession of ICT related Diploma, preferably in the direction of application development/software development.
• You have 5 years demonstrable experience with manual testing of functionalities and 3 years with writing automated tests. Knowledge of frameworks such as Playwright or Jest is an advantage.
• You have a good understanding of software testing methodologies and are familiar with the different types of tests, such as functional, regression, acceptance, and performance tests.
• You are familiar with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs to be able to test the web applications in the right way.
• You have good communication skills; as a Senior Software Tester you interact with both the development team and other stakeholders, such as the product owners and delivery manager.
• You are able to identify, analyze, and solve problems quickly. You need to be able to think like a user and look at problems from their perspective.
• You speak/write fluent English.
