Description & Requirements
Who we are looking for

• You've graduated from a relevant university program (such as, but not exclusively: Business Administration, Business Studies, Economics, Organizational Sciences).
• 2-4 years of relevant working experience
• Have experience in the field of Organization Design, for example experience with governance and (top) structure design, Organization Design tools and reorganizations.
• Previous experience that has enabled you to understand how different organizations are structured per departments, number of management layers, supporting functions, etc.
• Good understanding of what an organizational structure is and awareness of different existing models (structures based on geography, structures based on Business lines, Matrix structures, etc.) .
• Passion for data, numbers, business overviews and comprehensive reports. Experience in data analysis (looking at responsibilities for different roles, workloads, time estimates, etc.).
• Effective facilitation and communication skills both verbally and in writing, confident & dynamic attitude.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Social skills: remote collaboration, team player, proactive and curious.
• Proficient in English - Communicates proactively and can articulate thoughts effectively in spoken and written communication.

Your future role

• Apply tools and methodologies related to Organizational Design with some guidance/coaching from more experienced practitioners. Execute different type of documentation (presentations, analysis, plans, job descriptions, etc.).
• Passionate about data, conduct various type of data analyses to identify trends and optimization opportunities, interpret results and draw actionable data-drive insights.
• Understand the objective of the assigned deliverables and work towards completing them within the scheduled timeline with guidance. Ask pertinent questions, questions assumptions, and raises risks with respect to quality or scheduled delivery of assigned tasks.
• Drive or actively participate in workshops with the client and takes total or partial ownership of topics presented.
• Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary and global teams.
• Collaborate with subject matter specialists, as needed.
• Experienced in working with Power Point, Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Experience in other reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.) is a plus.
• Involvement into practice development (e.g. contribution to content creation for trainings / internal materials, knowledge sharing, initiatives etc.).

Example of daily activities and deliverables for a Consultant in the Organizational Design team:

• Work on Excel files and dashboards, developing various analyses and/or documenting the impacts of a change in terms of number of employees, cost, existing roles vs. new roles, capability gaps, etc.
• Build org. structure models using specific Org. Design tools and develop structural analyses
• Develop or review job descriptions, competency lists, etc. for various roles, or build a job architecture framework for a certain organization.
• Develop presentations, document approaches, design principles, build business cases, transformation roadmaps and milestones, etc.
• Facilitation and/or active participation in workshops.
• Attendance of various meetings/ calls (daily check in's, status updates, alignment calls, etc.).

About the team
The Organizational Design Team is responsible for advising our clients on how to redesign their organizations and help them do it.

The need to redesign the organizational structure can be triggered by a number of different factors, such as: a merger with another company, an acquisition of the company or a new company growth strategy.

At a high level, redesigning the organization implies:

• Assessing the current organization and capabilities, analyzing data and identifying gaps/ improvement opportunities.
• Working together with the client to understand their mission, vision, the possibilities and limitations.
• Proposing an optimal solution, that is aligned with the agreed strategy and vision of the company.
• Modelling what the company is going to be: how it will be organized, the number of employees and capabilities needed, the new ways of working, etc.
• Defining how the current workforce can be transitioned to the new organizational model.
• Transitioning the workforce.

As a Consultant within the Organizational Design team, you will work on different projects in multidisciplinary teams
. These projects vary in duration and complexity from shorter pure Organizational Assessments projects to longer and more complex global organizational design and implementation projects.

As a member of our Deloitte Technology Delivery Center team, you will be assigned to various project teams within European Deloitte Member Firms. In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional value to our end customers.

You will build and apply knowledge to solve challenges related to organizations, roles, structures, reporting layers, etc. to support clients to achieve their strategic goals.
