L3 Application Support Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated DDO (Digital DevOps Operations) L3 Engineer (Advanced level) to join our global team.

This role is critical in providing Level 3 operational support, driving DevOps excellence, and ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our digital platforms across the EMEA region.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of deep technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a passion for automation, observability, and continuous improvement.

What you will do:

• Provide advanced Level 3 support for production systems and applications in the EMEA region, including incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD to ensure reliable and efficient software delivery.
• Manage and scale Kubernetes environments (AKS, GKE, EKS), ensuring performance, reliability, and high availability of containerized workloads.
• Implement and support infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using Terraform and/or Pulumi to provision and manage cloud infrastructure in a consistent, repeatable way.
• Drive automation efforts to reduce manual toil, improve operational efficiency, and streamline deployment and support processes.
• Ensure application and infrastructure security, including integration of tools such as Veracode, BlackDuck, Qualys, and Twistlock/Aqua for static, dynamic, and container security scanning.
• Manage secrets and sensitive data securely using solutions like Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault, and Google KMS.
• Set up and maintain observability stacks, including monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, AppDynamics).
• Collaborate closely with development and platform teams, providing insights from monitoring data and contributing to performance tuning, incident postmortems, and design reviews.

What you need to have:

• Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success including the following areas:
• Developing CI/CD toolchains centered around tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Github
• Actions, ArgoCD, Artifactory, Azure container registry, Google container registry and other similar tooling;
• Developing modules utilizing tools such as Terraform & Pulumi;
• Demonstrating knowledge of security requirements, including working with encryption at rest & in transit patterns;
• Demonstrating knowledge of tools like Azure Key vault, Hashicorp Vault, Google KMS;
• Utilizing security tools like Veracode, Blackduck for AppSec testing, Qualys scanners for infra testing and Twistlock/Aqua for container scanning;
• Working with tools like Github/Gitlab for source code management and well as experience with branching strategies like GitFlow and trunk based;
• Kubernetes at scale using one of GKE, AKS, EKS or RKE;
• Deploying automation in order to identify toil and opportunities to reduce that within the team;
• Setting up observability tools like Prom/Grafana, Datadog, AppDynamics, Splunk to give actionable intel on a microservice environment including but not limited to synthetics,
• Application performance monitoring, logging and Alerting (Pagerduty/OpsGenie Integrations);
• Troubleshooting all the way down to code level to give development teams a head start on application issues and effectively contribute to root cause analysis exercises post problem resolution; familiarity with Authn/Authz schemes like OpenID, OAuth 2.0, SAML.
