The Position
The Medical Value Partner Ophthalmology is responsible for the management of all medical value (medical affairs) activities related to the assigned brands and respective therapeutic area through the correspondent product life cycle. The role covers the need of a field based Medical Value Partner Ophthalmology that will support HCPs retina specialists for improved access to latest clinical trials data for the diagnosis of own patients. The position will be close to HCPs and will focus on field activities for 70% of the time, and 30% for office-based activities.
Your Responsibilities
- Identifying and addressing the relevant medical information needs of clinical practice, to successfully support the optimal use of Roche products.
- Develops the medical strategy as part of the DA(s) strategies, ensures Medical expertise and customer insights to the SQUAD(s) and contributes to local Clinical Operations activities.
- Contributes to development and implementation of the Medical Plans, and ensures the Medical strategy for assigned brands
- Participates to SQUADs by contributing to the elaboration of the brand(s) strategy (ies), being themselves directly responsible in recommending a Medical strategy, and then delivering the agreed Medical brand strategy, tactics and activities.
- Continuously updates knowledge level over the Company's products from therapeutic areas where is responsible for.
- Approves all the promoting activities and materials as being in line with Roche principles and local legal requirements.
- Links affiliate to Therapeutic Area(s) and Product(s) Communities to deliver on data generation, knowledge exchange/data communications, and to lead Therapeutic Area Experts (TAEs) engagement in a scientific manner.
- Manages the Medical budgets/resources allocation inside SQUAD(s) to projects in order to meet the outcomes, and manage international congresses and medical scientific meetings
- Designs and implements Patient Solutions where and when the case.
- Takes ownership for the received Grants or Donations requests from areas in relationship with TAs where is responsible for.
- Maintains awareness of the company's requirements to fully report adverse events and other reportable drug safety and product complain information; identifies, collects and immediately reports all safety and/or product complaint related information on Roche products, according to company procedures and local regulatory requirements.
- Contributes to country and sites feasibilities for projects related to Roche Pipeline. Also, provides the strong support for clinical trial projects running in sites from Romania.
- Together with Pipeline Owner, acts in synergy regarding mapping and feasibilities for TAs where Roche is not yet present or is no present for long time, but where the pipeline is promising and clinical studies or new registered products or indications (line extensions) are to come to the local market, and he/she looks for opportunities for scientific collaborations.
Work closely with different stakeholders (e.g. internally, other affiliates and global) directly touching the patient journey in your disease area to shape the ecosystem and enhance patients' QoL in Romania. Accordingly, you identify focus areas, drive launches and programs to increase clinical uptake of Roche solutions in the responsible disease area
Adopt omni-channel approaches and digital assets to deliver HCPs/Patients scientific support and value-offerings, in line with our local compliance procedures and Romanian Law
- Own disease area scientific expertise, act as architect and catalyst of disease management topic for internal stakeholder.
MI Atlas responsibilities
- Delivering non-promotional medical information in response to unsolicited customer requests in a balanced, accurate, ethical and timely manner (including both on and off-label enquiries)
- Managing Medical Information processes in the affiliate in compliance with laws and regulations relating to medical information activities
- Support the safe and effective use of Roche products that effectively advance patient care
- All these responsibilities shall be fulfilled in line with provisions from relevant SOPs
Who You Are
- You hold a University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or related field
- You built a minimum of 3 years of work experience in (ideally) similar role, or in Marketing, or in Sales in Pharmaceutical industry
- You built advanced communication, presentation, lecturing, teaching skills, and able to facilitate high level health stakeholders interactions
- You have advanced interpersonal skills, and are able to understand individual needs and motivation
- You are organized, proactive, dynamic, and able to achieve goals with minimal to moderate supervision and direction
- You are fluent in Romanian and English languages
- You are flexible and willing to travel around 70% of the time across Romania
