Role description:

As a HashiCorp Vault specialist, your daily work focuses on ensuring the secure, stable, and scalable integration of Vault within Kubernetes environments. Your responsibilities span both the design of new solutions and the ongoing maintenance of existing infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and continuity of secrets management and identity services.

Responsibilities:

• Solution Design: Creation of High-Level Design (HLD) and Method of Procedure (MOP) documents for new use cases and Vault deployments.
  

• Use Case Integration: Configuration and implementation of authentication methods, access policies, and secrets engines based on business requirements.
  

• Monitoring and Health Checks: Execution and automation of regular health checks to ensure the Vault cluster´s optimal state.
  

• Repository Maintenance: Administration and continuous improvement of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) repositories, including Ansible modules and Bash scripts.
  

• Documentation Management: Ongoing updates to technical documentation to reflect changes in architecture, operational procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
  

Key Skills and tools:

• HashiCorp Vault: Advanced experience with authentication methods (Kubernetes, token, approle), high availability (HA) deployments, disaster recovery (DR), secret engines (KV), snapshots, leases, key rotation, and Raft storage backend management.
  

• Automation: Extensive use of Helm charts, Ansible, Bash, and Python to automate deployments, integrations, and validations.
  

• Containers and Orchestration: Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, and local environments like Minikube for testing and integration purposes.
  

• Version Control and DevOps: Proficient with Git and CI/CD workflows to collaborate within teams and maintain traceability of changes.
  

• Networking and Troubleshooting: Skilled in diagnosing and resolving network-related issues involving pod connectivity, services, proxies, and Vault in distributed environments.
  

• Language: English.
