Company Overview

Our client is a leading international engineering and technical services group, supporting major infrastructure and renewable energy projects worldwide. They are currently engaged in the construction of a 50 MW grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) plant in Romania and are seeking a talented Site Supervisor to oversee multidisciplinary site activities.

Role Overview

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for supervising on-site works related to grid connection, civil construction, and electromechanical installation, ensuring that the project is delivered safely, on time, and in accordance with quality and regulatory standards. This is a key role within a fast-paced renewable energy project, requiring excellent coordination skills and the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on-site activities across grid connection, civil works, and electromechanical installations, ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule.
• Liaise closely with EPC contractors, subcontractors, the client's engineering team, and local authorities to ensure smooth execution of works.
• Monitor progress, quality, and safety performance on site, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Support inspections and quality control activities, ensuring compliance with Romanian regulations and international standards.
• Coordinate with the grid operator / TSO for connection works, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Participate in regular site meetings, providing clear progress updates and issue tracking to the project management team.
• Enforce HSE policies and maintain a strong safety culture on site.

Experience Required

• Experience in grid connection or TSO-related works is essential — ideally within the renewable energy sector (PV plants preferred).
• Background in civil construction or electromechanical supervision will also be considered, combined with grid interface exposure.
• Proven track record in site supervision on infrastructure or energy projects.
• Excellent command of English is mandatory (the project language), with Romanian language skills strongly preferred.
• Romanian nationals or expats seeking to return home are particularly encouraged to apply.
• Strong interpersonal and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with international HSE and quality standards.
