About The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled
Senior Java Software Engineer
to join our development team. This role is perfect for someone with a solid background in Java development, strong object-oriented design expertise, and a passion for clean code and quality engineering. You will work on modern API-driven systems and contribute to the evolution of digital platforms within the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust, scalable applications using Java and OOD principles.
  • Build and maintain APIs in line with OpenAPI specifications.
  • Develop and integrate GraphQL services for efficient data access.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests, ideally using RestAssured and Pact.
  • Collaborate in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to workflow automation (e.g., Camunda, nice to have).
  • Apply TDD and CI/CD practices to deliver high-quality software.
  • Mentor junior developers and take part in code reviews.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design and software architecture.
  • Proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Experience with OpenAPI design and design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (RestAssured, Pact).
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Camunda or similar workflow/BPM tools.
  • Exposure to contract testing and consumer-driven testing strategies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
