Our Engineers are responsible for building and maintaining the components and integrations of our software products, as well as operating them in production. The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about developing software, is experienced with modern software technologies and frameworks, has a strong passion for delivering exceptional user experiences, and has a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Your Responsibilities

• Building and operating data-intensive applications at scale
• Cooperating with Engineers, Product Managers, Quality Assurance Specialists, and Designers to ship modern solutions that power our business
• Drafting architectural decisions together with Engineering Managers and Solution Architects
• Contributing to efficient team processes via active participation in regular retrospectives
• Exchanging your knowledge with other Engineers and being part of our One C&A Family
• Acting as a mentor to less experienced colleagues, supporting them on their learning journey whilst further developing your own leadership skills
• Staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends

What You Bring

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer working in a Product-Led agile environment, using best practices like Continuous Delivery and Test Driven Development
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and overcome technical and organizational obstacles with good communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with a modern JVM and React based development stack (Java, Kotlin,SpringBoot, TypeScript, React, Tailwind, AWS/GCP/Azure…)
• Experience with message brokers and databases (RabbitMQ, Kafka,PostgresSQL…)
• Experience with version control, test automation (unit, integration, e2e), CI/CDpipelines, as well as monitoring and alerting (Datadog, Grafana…)

Would be great if you have

• Experience designing microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures
• Experience with component-driven user interfaces & component libraries
• Experience maintaining and modernizing legacy systems
• Experience with low code / no code platforms (Mulesoft, WEM)
• Experience with logistics processes
