Group Data and Artificial Intellgience It's a global Department of UniCredit that provides solutions in the Information & Communication Technology (ICT), Data solutions, AI and reporting. The Department operates in: Austria, Germany, Italy, Poland, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, plus 2 branches: one located in New York and one in Singapore.

Group Data Platform and Engines is responsible for managing lifecycle of Data and Information used by Business functions and Competence Lines of UniCredit Group. Partnering with competent Holding functions in order to develop conditions to increase the practical usage of data by the front lines and Competence Lines to drive business value and/or generate operating cost efficiencies. It is responsible also for the design, development and evolution of the methods and algorithms of advanced analytics, data science, machine learning.

Group Data Lake is the Data Platform & Analytics ICT area that aggregates heterogeneous activities/applications based on the concept of building a Data Lake to prove value of data analytics, promote integration and speed up processes, enabling users to access Big Data and accelerate building of models/analytics

Key tasks and responsabilities

• As part of the Application team, it will deal specifically with impementation of data ingestion pipelines of data from different cloud and on-premises sources, development of data processing pipelines, industrialization of analytical pipelines written by Data Scientists.
• Support the Application Owner to manage critical applications throughout their life cycle and to ensure the respect of the Group Security / Architectural / Data Protection Guidelines
• Change Management: Business Requirement analysis and discussion with a technical point of view, definition of Solutions in line with the Business Model evolution thus ensuring its coherence with the Group digital strategy together with an attention on costs and deadlines, coordination / direct intervention on technical implementations
• Run and Incident Management: analyse incidents to identify root causes and re-establish the normal flow within the SLA

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Informatics, Mathematics/Statistics and similar
• 2-4 years of experience in ICT companies as Software developer, Data analyst.
• Experience with SQL as well as Python or Scala.
• Experience in custom ELT design, implementation, maintenance of data pipelines with huge amount of data (TB to PT).
• Experience in writing production level code and common software development methodologies (e.g. version control, testing, ..)
• Good knowledge of Big Data/MPP analytics platform (i.e. Spark, Flink, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or similar) with hands on experience.
• Knowledge of the main cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
