Role Description:
LSEG and Microsoft have entered a strategic, long-term partnership to develop next-generation data, analytics, and cloud infrastructure solutions. This collaboration is reshaping how customers discover, analyse, and trade securities globally. It also advances our cloud strategy, enhancing resilience, efficiency, and agility, while enabling Microsoft customers to access our data and analytics through a single, intuitive infrastructure.
As part of this transformation, we are delivering a major cloud programme that includes building a greenfield platform and migrating over 1,000 applications. This is a pivotal initiative that will reshape financial markets infrastructure and unlock new opportunities for innovation.
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex technical projects. You will work closely with globally distributed, cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and alignment with programme goals. This role is ideal for someone with strong software delivery experience and a proven track record of managing large-scale projects in financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery: Take responsibility for guiding the successful delivery of technical projects, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and timelines.
- Planning & Execution: Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering leads to ensure clear communication and delivery focus.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project-level risks and issues.
- Dependency Management: Coordinate with other project teams to manage interdependencies and ensure smooth delivery.
- Governance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to LSEG's project governance standards and provide regular updates to senior decision-makers.
- Team Performance: Support teams in delivering high-quality outcomes efficiently and collaboratively.
- Financial Oversight: Track project budgets, forecasts, and resource utilisation to ensure good financial health.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale technical projects, ideally within financial services or investment banking.
- Strong background in software delivery and cloud transformation.
- Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills, including experience working with global teams.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, APM).
- Familiarity with Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tools is advantageous.
- Degree or equivalent professional experience.
