CWS Workwear is looking for a strategic and hands-on Chief Accountant to oversee financial operations in Romania. Responsibilities

  • Manage full statutory accounting in compliance with Romanian regulations.
  • Prepare local financial statements and support group reporting (IFRS – with central support).
  • Handle tax compliance (VAT, CIT) and coordinate with tax advisors and auditors.
  • Supervise a 2-person accounting team.
  • Act as the main contact point for the German group headquarters.

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Chief Accountant

or minimum 5–7 years of total accounting experience, including 2–3 years as Senior Accountant in an international company or an audited entity.

  • Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting and tax regulations.
  • Experience with group reporting packages (basic IFRS knowledge is sufficient).
  • English – at least B2 level (suitable for daily communication with headquarters).
  • Solid knowledge of Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
