As our team in Bucharest is growing, we are looking for a motivated Accounting Assistant to join us and support our finance operations. This role is ideal for someone with a background in accounting or business operations, who is detail-oriented and eager to develop in the financial field.
Key Responsibilities
- Ledger Maintenance: Accurately maintain and reconcile daily cash and bank journals.
- Retrieval and recording of daily bank statements.
- Payment Processing: Execute basic payment entries for vendor invoices and other accounts payable transactions, ensuring complete documentation.
- Expense Review: Verify employee expense reports for compliance with company policies and accuracy of calculations.
- Credit Control: Support shipment credit control by monitoring customer accounts and assisting in the accounts receivable process.
- Rebate Management: Handle the calculation, verification, and settlement of rebate and incentive programs with customers.
- Month-End Support: Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, reconciliations, and audit preparations.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or business operations.
- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, patience, and numerical accuracy.
- Good communication skills in English.
