Medical Advisor/MSL

Summary & Purpose Of The Position
The MA/MSL for Dysport/Neurology is a hybrid role (40% office-based and 60% field), acting as a scientific expert for both external and internal stakeholders. By establishing himself as trusted source of objective competence and scientific expertise, the MA/MSL for Dysport/Neurology helps to effectively address unmet medical education needs. MA/MSL for Dysport/Neurology primary responsibility focuses on the three pillars of Medical Affairs, i.e. Scientific Exchange, Evidence Generation, and Evidence Dissemination. In addition, the MA/MSL for Dysport/Neurology is also responsible for performing in-depth insight gathering to offer valuable intelligence that will support the company's strategic initiatives.
Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies

• Demonstrate deep scientific expertise on Ipsen's molecules/products (Dysport, IPN10200, etc) for neurology area, to appropriately exchange relevant information and insights with Thought Leaders (TLs) within Romania.
• Through in-depth, relevant, and timely scientific education, support regional thought leaders to ensure understanding of evolving healthcare trends across the neurology area landscape.
• Respond to on and off-label questions with integrity, compliance, and adherence to legal, regulatory, and Ipsen guidelines, policies & procedures.
• Represent Ipsen Medical Affairs during scientific conferences, medical educational events, and medical meetings related to neurology area.
• Gather data and capture scientific insights that deepen our understanding of the needs of thought leaders, healthcare providers, and patients to share with internal stakeholders.
• Respond to unsolicited requests regarding interest in investigator sponsored studies (ISS) and supports ISS submissions through appropriate internal processes, related to neurology area.
• Assist with Company Sponsored Studies (CSS) from Phase I-IV, if requested, including investigator/site identification, site initiation visits, education to support enrolment, and feedback regarding operational management per protocol to ensure optimal site selection and performance.
• Build and cultivate working relationships across internal stakeholders (Medical Affairs colleagues, Clinical Operations, HEOR, R&D, and Commercial Operations) while maintaining full compliance with relevant company, industry, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Work efficiently and balance all work to enhance performance and execute local medical strategies within planned timelines.
• Participate on committees or project teams that support Field Medical strategies and tactics.
• Engage in continuous independent learning within the neurology area and actively attend and participate in upskilling programs related to Ipsen molecules, products, disease states and relevant business topics.
• Review the promotional and nonpromotional materials, medical training of internal stakeholders and other activities related to medical advisory role. The MA/MSL must maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant scientific information.

Knowledge & Experience

• Previous experience in Medical department of multinational company is preferred
• Ideally proven experience and successful track record in similar role
• Experience in delivery of scientific presentations and development of relationships with Thought Leaders is strongly preferred
• Knowledge in data analysis and statistics for purpose of understanding clinical study results
• Ideally, current working knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations and guidelines relevant to industry interactions with health-care professionals

Education / Certifications (essential)

• Ideally Medical doctor / Master's degree in Pharmacy; university degree in biological studies required
