Position: Senior Data Analyst / Power BI Developer (B2B / Freelancer Contract) Location: Remote open to candidates based in the European Union Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst / Power BI Developer to join our remote team. The role focuses on collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights. You will design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, collaborate with data engineers to optimize data flows, and ensure data quality and consistency across systems. This is a hands-on analytical position that combines technical data expertise with business acumen to drive data-informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to identify meaningful trends and insights. Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and support business decisions. Ensure data quality and integrity through data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation processes. Collaborate with data engineers to optimize data pipelines and ensure smooth data integration. Create impactful visualizations and data stories to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders. Develop and maintain recurring reports and KPIs to monitor business performance. Provide ad-hoc analysis and tailored reports upon stakeholder request. Work closely with business teams to understand their requirements and translate them into analytical solutions. Present findings, trends, and recommendations in a clear and actionable manner. Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within the data analysis workflow. Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in business intelligence and data analytics. Support the implementation of data governance policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance. Required Skills & Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role. Proven experience delivering accurate and actionable business intelligence insights. Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel for data analysis and reporting. Working knowledge of Python (Pandas, Polars, or similar libraries). Hands-on experience with Power BI for dashboard development and data visualization. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and Synapse. Familiarity with ETL processes and data engineering fundamentals. Knowledge of Delta Lake and DataVault 2.0 concepts. Experience with ITIL frameworks and software-as-a-service (SaaS) models. Understanding of cloud architecture and data governance principles. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in data-driven decision-making environments. Ability to translate business needs into scalable BI solutions.
