Job Title: Lead Data Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced data engineer to lead our team in designing, building, and maintaining complex ETL pipelines. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.

  • Lead the Development of New Features:

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of new features in the Python-based ETL pipeline.

  • Mentor and Guide Data Engineers:

    They will mentor and guide a team of data engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and technical growth.

  • Define and Enforce Coding Standards:

    The successful candidate will define and enforce coding standards and engineering best practices aligned with enterprise guidelines.

  • Plan and Oversee Maintenance:

    They will plan and oversee the maintenance, refactoring, and performance optimization of existing ETL pipelines (Python + Azure Data Factory).

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders:

    Collaboration with stakeholders in architecture, development, rollout, and operations teams, as well as business users, is crucial to define and deliver high-impact data solutions.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5-7 Years of Experience in Data Engineering:

    The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of experience in data engineering.

  • Experience with Python and Azure Cloud Services:

    Strong experience with Python for data processing (Polars, Pandas, PySpark, etc.) and working with Microsoft Azure cloud services is essential.

  • Excellent Analytical, Planning, and Organizational Skills:

    Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills are required to succeed in this role.
