Software Leadership Role

We are seeking a seasoned Software Discipline Manager to join our team. As a key leader, you will be responsible for driving the software engineering discipline forward, ensuring that we deliver high-quality products on time.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing people and teams, with experience in iterative/agile development methodologies. They will also have a strong understanding of safety-critical development and associated software assurance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to building a clear vision and direction for the software engineering discipline
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve quality, efficiency, and delivery
  • Foster collaboration between teams and stakeholders to deliver multi-discipline solutions
  • Identify and manage risks associated with projects and products
  • Perform technical reviews and ensure compliance with software quality standards
  • Define and implement cost models and monitor competitiveness
  • Manage recruitment and contractor selection
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software development and management
  • 5+ years of experience in managing people and teams
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality products on time
  • Strong understanding of safety-critical development and associated software assurance
  • Ability to coach and mentor others
  • High level of empowerment and ability to engage stakeholders
  • Accountability, transparency, and curiosity
