Junior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Information Management Technology Specialist Junior – SysAdmin.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Windows clients, Windows Server and Active Directory, as well as experience with Omnissa (formerly VMware) Horizon, VMware ESXi administration, provisioning, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting.

The successful applicant will be responsible for installing and managing server and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) in line with all IM internal security regulations.

About the Role:

The main focus of this role is to ensure daily operation and administration of VDI machines as well as servers (both physical and virtual).

The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and efficient operation of the on-premises hosted environment information systems that support engineering business.

This includes setup, management and tuning to ensure high level of security.

Responsibilities:

• The installation and management of server and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) in line with all IM internal security regulations.
• The daily operation and administration of VDI machines as well as servers (both physical and virtual).
• Ensuring the availability, integrity, and efficient operation of the on-premises hosted environment information systems that support engineering business.
• Setup, management and tuning to ensure high level of security.

Requirements:

Specific knowledge and skills:

• University studies, ideally in a technical domain.
• Experience with managing Windows clients, Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Experience with Omnissa (formerly VMware) Horizon, VMware ESXi administration, provisioning, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Experience with networks management and Linux systems administration would be a plus.
• +5 years proven experience working within a customer-oriented environment.
• Well organized person with the ability to stay focused on different tasks and use time, energy, strength effectively and efficiently in order to achieve the desired outcome.
• Strong customer orientation, focused on IT Service Delivery.
• Nice to have: ITIL awareness, Veeam Backup knowledge, VMware or CCNA certification
