About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Expert to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and testing of software components.

Core Responsibilities:

You will be working on the specification, development, integration, and testing of software components for control and safety systems. Your duties will include derivation of system and software requirements, participation in software design, implementation of software components, integration of modules and software components in internal lab environments or on customer systems.

Detailed Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Derivation of system and software requirements
  • Participation in software design
  • Implementation of software components
  • Integration of modules and software components in internal lab environments or on customer systems
  • Error analysis and troubleshooting
  • Development and documentation of test cases
  • Creation of scripts for test execution, automation, and simulation
  • Preparation of technical documentation
  • Development, execution, and maintenance of automated tests for unit, module, regression, product, and system testing
  • Documentation of test results
  • Preparation and execution of commissioning activities

Required Education and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need a successfully completed technical degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering or Computer Science) or equivalent qualification. Alternatively, extensive professional experience in the relevant operational environment is required.

Technical Skills:

The ideal candidate will have experience with C++ (Qt), Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy), and relational databases (Oracle, MariaDB). Familiarity with Docker containerization, version control using Git, and CI/CD with Jenkins is preferred. A solid understanding of object-oriented software development, integration, and testing of software components is essential.

Soft Skills:

You will work independently and responsibly, having a structured approach, team spirit, communication skills, and sense of responsibility. Results- and customer-oriented behavior, as well as good command of German and English, both written and spoken, are expected.
