The Opportunity

From the moment you wake up in the morning until you go to bed at night consider the media you consume, the adverts you see, the apps you use, the websites you browse and almost all of the shopping you do online throughout the day. Our engineering team is responsible for building the Adobe Experience Platform. We help thousands of customers collect, manage and synthesize petabytes of data with high fidelity and velocity. We help them make sense of that data, glean insights and run algorithms, so they can deliver delightful experiences in real-time, every time. If building new secure micro-services in the cloud based on open-source technologies at large-scale is something you're into or even might interest you, let's share some thoughts, we'd like to meet

What you'll do
  • Transform the business requirements into feature specifications
  • Design and implement new features, APIs, unit and integration test suites
  • Be involved in all the product development and delivery stages, as part as an agile engineering team working on new products.
  • Research on various technologies useful for the project and keep in touch with the evolution of the industry
  • Improve your technical and team working skills
  • Perform on-call activities, on rotation with the rest of the team
  • Work with real-time data processing and streaming techniques and workflows
  • Contribute to and promote good software engineering practices across the team
What you need to succeed
  • Strong CS background and passionate about computer science, developing software & internet applications
  • Deep knowledge of Java technologies and frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot)
  • Experience in deploying and operating large scale, highly available, SaaS applications and cloud services; familiarity with Kubernetes, Jenkins, Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, Telemetry/Observability
  • Solid understanding of modern software development methodologies and software design patterns & best practices (unit testing, build automation, continuous integration)
  • Experience in building SaaS products and web services (REST, SOAP)
  • Deep understanding of API design, including versioning, isolation and micro-services.
  • Understanding of OOP, Functional Programming, software life-cycle, source control tools, DevOps principles and best practices.
  • Loves to experiment, ability to research and become proficient in new technologies
  • Understanding of operating and maintaining highly reliable services
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good English language knowledge, both written and spoken
Bonus skills
  • Knowledge of Scala, Kotlin or Go
  • Experience with cloud services platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS).
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g PostgreSQL)
