As a Test Developer Engineer, you are tasked with specifying, developing and commissioning test systems for our customers' new products.


A test system typically consists of:
purchased standard equipment such as power supplies, multi meters, etc
Specifically developed electronics (PCB Design, low to medium complex)
Specifically developed mechanics
Specifically developed software (Labview/TestStand)

As a test development engineer you come up with smart solutions for testing innovative products in our production lines. You write specifications, create schedules, layouts, supervise the assembly and work on the software to control the whole. You report your progress to the responsible project manager.

You have the following tasks

Developing test systems for electronics / mechatronics for new products
Writing specifications in consultation with the customer
Writing the design documents
Drawing electrical diagrams and PCB layouts
Developing the operating software in NI Labview/Teststand
Consultation with the mechanical engineers about the implementation
Bringing the system into production
Analyzing the performance during the running-in phase of a project and adapting/improving the system accordingly

Requirements

You are a great match if you have:
Technical University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication, Electronics or similar.
You have knowledge of NI Labview / test stand or are willing to develop yourself in this.
You are able to read and understand electronic schematics.
Proficient analytical skills and troubleshooting of electronic circuits.
Good hands-on skills with lab test equipment.
Good hands-on skills with rework equipment, such as: soldering station, hot air station.
Understanding of test development techniques and ability to apply test solutions for basic test scenarios.
Good communication skills, someone who easily makes contact and can constructively address people about their responsibilities.
An enterprising, decisive, proactive and result-oriented mindset.
5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, developing electronic hardware and software.
