Your day at NTT DATA

The Global Digital Partner Manager role is responsible for managing a defined and structured relationship with key partners in the NTT sales area, as well defining a standards-based approach to non-key partners. Partners are any organisations or parties that provide NTT products or services that we sell to our clients. It is a strategically important role ensuring that the business strategies, commercial constructs, and contracts that in place between NTT and the partners is being supported from within the business, specifically from an operational, data, and technology perspective.
This role does not have accountability for any commercial or contractual agreements between the partners and NTT, nor does it have any direct execution accountability or responsibility on the technology layer. This role focuses specifically on working together with our key partners to ensure that both the partner and NTT can sufficiently facilitate and execute on these agreed strategies through the correct leveraging of operational, process and technical elements, which are executed by various teams within the partner and NTT organisations. The responsibilities of this role have been detailed below.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist in the definition and management of Policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPâs) for Digital Partner Management.  This includes:
    • Definition of Policies relating to Digital Partner Management to ensure that the approach is governed and in line with business requirements.
    • Embed monitoring principles and processes for policies that are defined.
    • Definition and management of Digital Partner Management business procedures to ensure that there are clearly defined and agreed upon processes for key partners.
    • Definition and management of Digital Partner Management business procedures to ensure that there is a clearly defined standard for non-key partners.
    • Input and expertise into catalogue management, operational and technical procedures to ensure that this is done in line with the initiatives in Digital Partner Management.
    • Monitoring the execution of SOPâs and ensuring that they are being adhered to and followed, as well as identifying and recommending changes and improvements based on observations.

  • Collaborate with allocated key partners
    • Onboard allocated key vendors onto the Digital Partner Management program through the defined steps and process.
    • Maintain and update the partner contact matrix as changes occur within NTT and the partner.
    • Work together with allocated partners to put together a joint roadmap that considers existing NTT initiatives.
    • Work together with the partners to create joint business cases for new capabilities and functions needed to execute on the strategies agreed.
    • Hold regular sessions with the allocated key partners to ensure that the actions agreed to are being executed, report on operational updates and share any changes to the plans or roadmap.

  • Collaborate with internal NTT stakeholders and teams
    • Hold regular sessions with various stakeholders within NTT that have impact on the partner relationship.  This includes GBS, I&T, Alliances, Commercial, and operational teams.
    • Agree on a reporting structure required to ensure that the work being performed aligns with the long-term strategies agreed to between NTT and the partner.
    • Work together with NTT stakeholders to outline the roadmap for the allocated partners.
    • Work together with NTT stakeholders to create business cases for any new capabilities and features required to achieve the agreed upon strategies.

  • Collaborate with, and provide insight into the Catalogue Management, and Catalogue Operations areas
    • Ensure that the operational requirements for the allocated partners are in place, and where necessary, are being implemented and improved.
    • Ensure that the catalogue management capabilities coincide with what has been agreed with the relevant partner and is supportive of the NTT business objectives.
    • Provide insight into the catalogue management and catalogue operations areas relating to development with the allocated partners, and the associated roadmaps.

  • Collaborate with existing steerco and governance structures
    • Bring the partner insight and aspects into the steering committee and existing governance structures.
    • Ensure that only partner relevant information is shared with the partners.

  • Define, implement and run a standards-based approach for non-key partners
    • Define the criteria for key partner validity and segment the partner list into key, and non-key partners.
    • Define the standards, policies, and processes for non-key partners.
    • Define a communication plan to take the standards and approaches to all the global non-key partners together with marketing, governance, and legal input.
    • Plan and manage the project to launch for the global non-key partner capability and ensure that all technical, data, operational and legal constructs are in place.

  • Strategic activity
    • Provide strategic support regarding adoption of the partner processes and technologies, as well as that of NTT processes and platforms.
    • Input into wider material master discussions around Group MDM strategy ensuring a joined-up approach between sell side catalogue data, buy side catalogue data, and wider material master details.
    • Drive understanding and value of Digital Partner Management within NTT and align on key differences between this capability, traditional vendor management, and IT projects.

  • Assist in data quality assessments and adjustments

Skills/Attributes/Training

Required

  • Experience in creating and managing product and technical roadmaps for a global organization â advantageous to have done so in technology/network/telecoms sectors.
  • Experience of managing relationships with various partners on behalf of NTT within the mandate outlined.
  • Experience in working with a multi-national team.
  • Experience running multinational programs across multiple stakeholders, entities, and time zones.
  • Experience in stakeholder management at a senior level.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, concisely and with confidence in all mediums.
  • Ability to define and manage policies, processes and procedures.

Beneficial

  • Degree or relevant qualification in data engineering, data management, stakeholder management, project management, product management, or equivalent.
  • Experience with and exposure to BPMN, Six Sigma, Integrations, and process monitoring.
  • Negotiations experience with limited mandate and requiring senior stakeholder sign off.
