The Planning / Scheduling Engineer is responsible for developing, updating, and controlling the integrated EPC programme across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. This role requires a meticulous approach to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining a high standard of quality in deliverables. Roles & Responsibilities Develop and Maintain Detailed Project Schedule
- Create and manage a comprehensive project timeline that encompasses all phases of the EPC process. Prepare Baseline Schedules, Updates, and Recovery Programmes
- Establish baseline schedules and provide timely updates to reflect project progress and any necessary recovery plans. Monitor Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning Activities
- Continuously track project activities to ensure alignment with planned schedules. Identify Critical-Path Activities and Schedule Risks
- Analyze project flows to determine critical-path tasks and proactively manage potential risks. Prepare Weekly and Monthly Progress Updates
- Generate and present regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and areas of concern. Develop Short-term and Look-ahead Programmes
- Create actionable plans for immediate project needs and forecast future tasks to ensure smooth workflows. Analyse Planned Versus Actual Progress
- Conduct in-depth analyses to compare actual project performance against planned schedules. Integrate Subcontractor Schedules into the Master Programme
- Ensure all subcontractor timelines are harmonized with the overall project schedule. Prepare S-curves, Dashboards, and Management Reports
- Design visual tools and reports that effectively communicate progress and project health to management. Support Recovery and Acceleration Planning
- Assist in developing strategies for recovering lost time and accelerating project completion as needed. Support Delay Analysis, EOT, and Claims Documentation
- Provide critical input for delay analyses and prepare documentation for extensions of time (EOT) and claims. Coordinate Programme Interfaces Between All Project Lots
- Facilitate communication and coordination among various project components to ensure seamless execution. Technical Skills
- Proficient in Primavera P6
- Advanced skills in MS Project and Excel Analytical Skills
- Strong ability to assess project data and identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Problem-Solving Skills
- Capability to devise effective solutions in response to scheduling challenges and project delays. Preferred Skills
- Experience in PV/Renewables projects.
- Familiarity with critical-path methodology for effective project management. Key Competencies
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in scheduling and reporting.
