📣 Would you like to join a company that puts people at the heart of its concerns? We are waiting for you Since 2007, Extia, an IT consulting company, has been offering a unique approach in its field by combining well-being at work and performance.
Our philosophy at Extia is “First who, then what", so let's go for it
🚀First who?
• A keen observer, with an eye for detail and a knack for spotting things others might miss.
• Proactive and dependable, someone who takes initiative, stays organised and follows through.
• A team player, who enjoys exchanging ideas, sharing feedback and working together towards common goals. This position is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week in the Bucharest office. 🚀Then what? We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join one of our clients and work on an internal application used across the group to manage stakeholders, projects, bids and evaluation campaigns. The role involves building and maintaining an automated testing framework to support reliable regression testing across the application's various workflows and functionalities.
Responsibilities:
• Design and build a test automation framework using Gherkin, Pytest, Playwright and the Page Object Model (POM).
• Automate eight agreed functional areas, covering record management, bid creation and modification, watchlists, multi-evaluator assessments, campaign tracking, scope configuration and reporting views.
• Develop reliable UI tests for dynamic elements using Playwright auto-waiting and robust locator strategies.
• Collaborate with the DevOps Engineer on CI/CD pipeline integration, Dockerised test environments, parallel execution and Allure reporting.
• Execute the full regression suite in staging, investigate failures and distinguish genuine application defects from test-related issues.
• Maintain and update automated tests as the application evolves, ensuring reliable regression coverage.
• Document local test execution, pipeline configuration and troubleshooting procedures.
• Work closely with the application developer to understand workflows and data structures, obtain the necessary access and resolve blockers early.
Requirements:
• Hands-on experience with test automation using Python and Pytest.
• Practical experience with Playwright for UI automation.
• Good understanding of Gherkin and behaviour-driven testing.
• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks using the Page Object Model.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Allure. 🚀 Do you recognize yourself in the "Who" and represent the "What"? Apply and let's talk
