Operational Buyer

A Snapshot of Your Day Our buyers ensure the smooth supply of materials needed for the production of power transformers every day. Building and maintaining long-term relationships with our global suppliers is a key priority. Operational Procurement is at the heart of our day-to-day business, maintaining close contact with suppliers and resolving daily challenges related to material availability in a highly dynamic global environment. Close collaboration with Logistics and our technical departments is also essential. How You’ll Make An Impact
• Prepare and conduct contract and price negotiations for B&C parts, indirect materials (CAPEX), and services.
• Translate demand requirements into purchase orders and manage and monitor the entire purchasing and delivery process, including delivery tracking, invoice clarification, and complaint handling.
• Develop procurement strategies to ensure long-term security of supply and cost competitiveness.
• Establish and implement alternative sources of supply to reduce lead times, inventory levels, and costs.
• Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders, including Production, Engineering, and Quality Management.
• Prepare price forecasts, statistics, and internal KPIs, and maintain relevant data in SAP. What You Bring
• Completed commercial or technical education, such as an apprenticeship, HTL/HAK, university, or university of applied sciences degree.
• Solid experience in a comparable position, which you apply confidently and effectively in your daily work.
• A high level of personal responsibility, reliability, and commitment, combined with an analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach, even in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills in both English and German and proficiency in MS Office; SAP experience is an advantage.
• A strong team spirit and excellent communication skills complete
