• Own and maintain the Terraform infrastructure across AWS and Snowflake, including resource provisioning, access controls, integrations, and infrastructure state management.
• Design and manage secure identity integrations using Okta or equivalent identity providers, covering authentication, role mapping, provisioning, and de-provisioning.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure, data transformations, orchestration, and application deployments using GitLab or equivalent tools.
• Define and enforce repository structures, branch protection, code ownership, approval workflows, and deployment standards.
• Manage Kubernetes-based deployments for Dagster and related components, including Helm configurations, secrets, upgrades, and release processes.
• Develop automated and reproducible build and deployment workflows, enabling teams to deploy packages and services through standardized self-service solutions.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, observability, and incident management practices to ensure platform reliability and performance.
• Manage infrastructure cost, capacity, scalability, and disaster recovery while continuously improving operational efficiency.
• Implement auditable infrastructure, access management, and deployment processes aligned with SOX requirements and segregation-of-duties controls.
• Identify technical risks and opportunities for improvement, propose solutions, and drive the adoption of engineering standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and business stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and ensure platform requirements are met. Technical Skills
• Cloud Infrastructure: Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, IAM, and monitoring.
• Infrastructure as Code: Advanced Terraform experience, including production infrastructure management, module design, state management, resource imports, and Terraform Cloud/HCP Terraform.
• Data Platforms: Experience with Snowflake administration, including databases, schemas, warehouses, RBAC, service identities, and platform integrations.
• Identity & Access Management: Experience with Okta or equivalent IdPs, SAML/OIDC, SCIM provisioning, role mapping, and service-account authentication.
• CI/CD & Source Control: Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD or equivalent platforms, pipeline automation, approval gates, protected branches, CODEOWNERS, and controlled environment promotion.
• Kubernetes & Containers: Production experience with Kubernetes, Helm, container deployments, secrets management, resource allocation, and rollout/rollback strategies.
• Data Orchestration: Hands-on experience deploying and operating Dagster or a comparable orchestrator such as Airflow.
• Programming & Data: Strong Python skills and solid SQL knowledge, with experience supporting data pipelines and platform automation.
• Analytics Stack: Working knowledge of dbt, Apache Iceberg, AWS Glue Data Catalog, and Snowflake storage/catalog integrations.
• Security & Secrets Management: Practical experience with HashiCorp Vault or equivalent tools, OIDC-based CI authentication, secret rotation, and secure credential management.
• Reliability & Observability: Experience with metrics, logs, traces, monitoring, alerting, incident response, and distributed systems troubleshooting.
• Governance & Compliance: Previous experience in a SOX-controlled environment or demonstrable knowledge of SOX requirements, including change management, segregation of duties, access reviews, and audit evidence. Nice to Have
• Experience acting as an engineering point of contact during internal or external audits.
• Exposure to other regulated or controls-heavy environments, including ITGC and PCI, or data protection and governance requirements related to GDPR.
• Experience with cost optimization and FinOps practices across AWS and Snowflake.
• Experience building internal developer platforms, self-service infrastructure, and reusable engineering templates.
• Experience automating compliance evidence collection and implementing audit-ready infrastructure and deployment workflows.
