We are Bertrandt: an independent, international development service provider with long years of automotive expertise. We create technological solutions for our customers at any stage of the product development process with a focus on hot topics such as digitalization, e-mobility and autonomous systems, largely for the automotive, aerospace and mechanical engineering sectors. Our goal: accelerating technological progress. We work on this every day – with around 13,000 employees at over 50 sites worldwide. We are looking for a skilled dSPACE Test Automation Engineer to support the development of automated testing environments within the automotive domain. The primary responsibility of this role is the implementation, maintenance and execution of automated tests using dSPACE tools and Python-based automation frameworks. What to expect: Develop, maintain and execute automated test solutions using dSPACE AutomationDesk and Python Create and maintain automated test scripts for SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) validation activities Perform automated testing activities using: dSPACE AutomationDesk, dSPACE ControlDesk, Python-based automation frameworks Analyze existing Vector-based test setups and implement equivalent solutions using dSPACE technologies Maintain and optimize automated test execution environments Work with AutomationDesk and ControlDesk environments Integrate automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines Investigate and troubleshoot test failures and environment issues Collaborate with software developers, system engineers and validation teams to ensure test coverage and quality Contribute to continuous improvement of test automation processes and methodologies Prepare technical documentation related to automation frameworks, test environments, and migration activities What you bring along: Experience with dSPACE AutomationDesk and dSPACE ControlDesk Strong knowledge of Python scripting and automation Experience in test automation development and maintenance Understanding of SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) testing concepts Experience with CI/CD architectures and pipelines Knowledge of automotive validation and verification processes Experience in automotive testing, validation, or test automation is highly preferred Familiarity with test environment configuration and maintenance Fluent English (written and spoken) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and within distributed teams Good communication and documentation skills Proactive mindset and continuous improvement attitude Nice to Have Previous experience with Vector tools (CANoe, vTESTstudio, VT System or related solutions) Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
