We are hiring: Substation Automation Engineer – Commissioning & Engineering

We are looking for a skilled and motivated
Engineer
to join a dynamic team in the energy sector. This role offers the opportunity to work on
high-voltage substation automation systems
, including
SCADA and protection relays
, contributing to the full lifecycle of engineering projects from design to commissioning and client support.

What you'll do:

  • Support testing, installation, and commissioning activities using standard engineering practices
  • Plan and execute commissioning strategies and related documentation
  • Participate in internal project reviews and risk/design meetings
  • Support project managers in contract management, including claims and risk assessment
  • Prepare technical documentation and assist in proposals and presentations
  • Coordinate site activities to ensure successful client acceptance
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to evaluate technical solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and contractual requirements
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment, support clients with technical issues and training

Your profile:

  • University degree in
    Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience in
    commissioning and servicing HV/MV secondary equipment
    (protection relays, SCADA)
  • Experience in
    electrical substation design and testing procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and technical reporting skills
  • Clean driving license and willingness to travel frequently within Romania
  • Fluent English
    and native Romanian speaker
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication, self-organization, and a responsible, independent work style
