Job Description:

XWARE is seeking a Freelance Software Test Engineer to support an ongoing automotive ECU project. The HIL bench (National Instruments + LabVIEW) is already in place, and the customer requires immediate support to continue qualifgication SW testing, and automated testing activities.

The engineer will join the testing team on-site in the Czech Republic, taking responsibility for test case execution, HIL bench usage, and validation of electronic control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of ongoing ECU software testing activities.
  • Develop and execute test cases and scenarios to verify functionality and performance.
  • Use the existing National Instruments HIL bench (LabVIEW-based) for automation and execution.
  • Validate electronic control systems, sensors, and actuators.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure test coverage and resolve issues quickly.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of system and software testing experience in the automotive industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience with National Instruments HIL systems and LabVIEW.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Diagnostics).
  • Proficiency in testing tools such as CANoe, NI TestStand vTestStudio, Po
  • Familiarity with ASPICE/CMMI quality standards.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
