What you'll do

• Technical Leadership & Solution Architecture
• Architectural Ownership: Own the end-to-end technical solution design for the insurer's AEM implementation, ensuring the architecture is scalable, secure, and aligned with client business objectives.
• Design & Implementation: Guide the implementation of the defined architecture, overseeing the development of templates, components, workflows, and complex integrations across multi-brand sites.
• Code & Quality Governance: Define and enforce strict AEM coding standards and security protocols (essential for a Swiss financial institution), conducting thorough code reviews to maintain high quality and performance.
• Technology Stack Expertise: Serve as the technical expert for AEM as a Cloud Service, Sling, OSGi, and integration technologies (e.g., API Gateways, Microservices).
• Performance: Optimize performance, caching strategies (Dispatcher/CDN), and platform health to ensure high availability and optimal response times.
• Team Management & Project Delivery
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a distributed team of AEM developers (onshore and offshore), fostering technical growth, collaboration, and ensuring adherence to scope and timelines.
• Estimation & Planning: Partner with Project Managers and Product Owners to provide accurate technical effort estimates, define sprints, and structure the technical backlog for Agile delivery.
• DevOps Strategy: Define and optimize the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline and DevOps strategy specific to the client's enterprise environment.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and resolve technical risks and complex architectural challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Client Consulting & Advisory
• Client Communication: Act as the lead technical point of contact for the Swiss insurer, effectively translating complex technical concepts into business value and presenting architectural decisions to client stakeholders.
• Compliance & Regulation: Ensure all AEM solutions comply with strict Swiss and European data privacy laws (GDPR, local regulations) and security protocols relevant to the insurance sector.
• Strategic Roadmapping: Advise the client on AEM platform evolution, migration strategies, version upgrades, and integration with the broader Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem (Analytics, Target, Campaign).

What you need to be successful

• Experience: Minimum 7+ years in software development, with at least 4+ years as an AEM Technical Lead or Architect within a digital agency or consulting firm.
• AEM Core Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with AEM architecture (preferably AEM as a Cloud Service) and core Java/J2EE, OSGi, and JCR.
• Integration: Proven track record of designing and delivering complex integrations between AEM and core enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, Policy Administration, Identity Management).
• Client Facing: Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage technical conversations with senior client stakeholders.
• Domain Knowledge: Direct experience delivering solutions for clients in the financial services or insurance industry is highly desirable.
• Certifications: Adobe Certified Expert - AEM Sites Architect is highly preferred.
• Language: Fluency in English is mandatory. Working proficiency in German or French is a strong asset for client engagements in Switzerland.
