an exclusive mandate to recruit

a Site Director – Business Unit (M/F) on a permanent, full-time basis in the industrial sector. 

In this high-impact role, the Site Director will assume full responsibility for the Business Unit, ensuring its strategic direction, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth. Beyond delivering performance, the SM will be expected to strengthen the organization, implement effective group working methods and reinforce trust with the General Management and site teams. 

This position, based in Romania, is both highly visible and influential, with international reach as part of a major international group. The selected candidate will not only manage current operations but also propose solutions and drive improvements to secure the BU's long-term competitiveness and alignment with Group objectives. 

To qualify for this position, your background must include two key assets: 

• Proven track record in Site Management of a Business Unit or Subsidiary and a strong knowledge of Roumanian labour law.
• Strong expertise in strategic development, operational management, team leadership and social climate control.

The permanent position

Site Director – Business Unit (M/W)

Direct reporting line to Group Executive Management 

Functional interaction with Group Finance, HR, Operations, Commercial and Legal functions 

Main responsabilities :

• Strategic Leadership

– Translate Group strategy into BU objectives, drive modernization and growth, develop new business opportunities, and represent the BU externally. Define the organization and working methods required
to meet costs, delivery agendas and deadlines

, while proactively identifying improvement areas in the interest of the Group. Improve the quality of delivery in order to reduce rework efforts.
- Performance Management

– Ensure profitability and operational excellence, establish and monitor KPIs, guarantee reliable reporting to Group General Management, and deploy continuous improvement initiatives. Propose concrete solutions to enhance efficiency, skills development and organizational effectiveness.
- Operations & Compliance

– Oversee the allocation of resources, coordinate departments, ensure compliance with legal, social, financial, and HSE requirements. Strengthen the BU's processes and industrialization methods to improve performance and service levels.
- Team Leadership -

Gain the trust of the Direction, assert authority when necessary, and increase presence with teams on the ground. Lead and develop managers, drive motivation and talent growth,
maintain a positive social climate

, and foster a culture of accountability, performance, and collaboration.

Candidate profile

Profil

Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent 

Proven track record as Industrial Site Director of a Business Unit or Subsidiary in Roumania 

Demonstrated achievements in business development and operational transformation 

International experience is a strong asset but not mandatory 

Competences

Strong leadership and decision-making abilities and with negotiation and adaptation skills. 

Excellent business acumen and results-driven mindset 

Languages: Romanian is a plus and English required
