SAP BTP CAP Developer

For one of our projects with a German company, we are hiring an SAP BTP CAP Developer to join a dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to innovate and drive efficiency in one of the industry's front-running organizations.

Responsibilities (What you will do):

  • Develop modern, high-performance, secure, and user-oriented business applications on SAP BTP using the Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) with and Fiori Elements, in accordance with the given guidelines.
  • Participate in the design and definition of software architecture.
  • Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to quality assurance within the development team.
  • Create and execute unit tests to ensure functional reliability and regression safety.
  • Document technical specifications, design decisions, and implementation details.
  • Deploy the application.
  • Maintain and extend existing applications within the same technology stack.

Your Profile (Skills):

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge and experience in developing applications using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) with
  • Apply strong knowledge of Core Data Services (CDS), with a solid background in modeling and querying data.
  • Possess strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for CAP-based application development.
  • Develop and extend SAP Fiori Elements applications using the Flexible Programming Model, allowing for custom code and controller logic to enhance standard functionalities.
  • Design and implement scalable and maintainable software architecture.
  • Use Git or other version control systems to manage source code versions and support team collaboration in development workflows.
  • Collaborate using tools such as Jira and Confluence for agile project management, issue tracking, and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop custom SAPUI5 applications using Free Style UI5, when advanced UI customization is required beyond Fiori Elements.
  • Basic knowledge of ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
  • Knowledge of S/4HANA data model and processes
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
