Marketing and Business Development Specialist - with Spanish
Location: Bucharest

Blue Projects is seeking a Marketing and Business Development Specialist to support its expanding global presence in the industrial sector. This role is ideal for a creative and strategic marketing professional looking to make an impact within a fast-growing consulting firm.

The Marketing and Business Development Specialist will be responsible for maintaining good client relationships, managing the full-cycle of the tender and bidding process , and collaborating with stakeholders to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Tender Management

  • Receiving bid enquiry documentation: Logging the documentation in the relevant control software, communicating the enquiry to appropriate stakeholders and establishing the bid file structure to support bid preparation.
  • Managing the bid timeline: Developing and maintaining a detailed timeline for the entire bid process to ensure all tasks are completed on time, and coordinating with various teams to ensure their participation and adherence to deadlines.
  • Tracking progress: Monitoring the progress of each component of the bid (e.g., technical, financial, legal, commercial ) and escalating delays to ensure corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.
  • Coordinating bid team activities: Leading and coordinating the efforts of internal teams (sales, legal, finance, technical) to ensure that all deliverables are submitted on schedule.
  • Bid document preparation and review: Overseeing the preparation, review, and approval of all bid documents, ensuring they are completed and formatted on time.
  • Ensuring compliance with bid deadlines: Ensuring that all submissions meet the deadlines set by clients or tender authorities, handling any last-minute changes or clarifications effectively.
  • Risk assessment and mitigation: Identifying potential delays or obstacles that could affect the timely delivery of the bid and implementing strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Bid submission tracking: Ensuring that the bid is submitted in accordance with client requirements, either electronically or physically, and tracking the submission status.
  • Handling bid clarifications: Responding, with support from sales, legal , commercial and technical teams to any clarifications or additional requests from clients during the bidding process and ensuring these are integrated into the bid without delaying the timeline.
  • Post-submission follow-up: Following up with clients to ensure they have received the bid on time, addressing any post-submission queries, and managing the evaluation process.
  • Maintaining bid documentation: Ensuring that all bid-related documents are correctly filed, recorded, and easily accessible for future reference or audits.

Client & Internal Collaboration

  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with business partners, vendors, and media
  • Participating in client presentations and contributing to sales initiatives
  • Keeping accurate records of sales, revenue, and invoices
  • Entering and updating information in digital platforms as required

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of related experience, with a strong focus on tender administration
Strong project management and organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Fluency in English and Spanish (mandatory).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Experience with SALESFORCE software and SAP is an advantage
Availability for local and occasional international business travel when required

Agility and flexibility to meet client deadlines—sometimes outside normal office hours.
Ability to facilitate decision-making in situations of ambiguity.
