Role OverviewM365Consult is seeking a remote International Tax Lawyer with deep expertise in Romanian tax law to provide strategic advice and legal support. The focus is on optimizing the groups tax position in Romania while fully complying with both Romanian and international regulations on corporate and cross-border taxation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide legal counsel on structuring Romanian and cross-border operations to minimize tax liabilities.
- Ensure compliance with Romanian tax regulations and applicable double taxation treaties.
- Draft and review contracts and agreements with significant tax implications.
- Represent the company in interactions with Romanian tax authorities.
- Advise on legal implications of cross-border transactions and group structures.
- Law degree with specialization in tax law.
- At least 5 years of experience in international tax law with a clear focus on Romania.
- Extensive knowledge of Romanian tax laws and relevant tax treaties.
- Strong negotiation skills, excellent analytical and communication abilities.
- Fluency in English and Romanian.
