Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and technically oriented Field Sales Engineer / Key Account Manager to support business development and customer engagement in Romania.

The role focuses on 
industrial/technical B2B sales
, combining field sales, project consultation, and account management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Prospecting

  • Identify, approach, and convert new customers within industrial, mechanical, electrical, and construction-related sectors.
  • Generate leads through direct outreach, market intelligence, digital channels, and industry networks.
  • Map market segments, potential buyers, and decision-makers.
  • Represent the company in client meetings, technical visits, site inspections, and industry events.

2. Technical & Project-Based Sales

  • Conduct customer needs assessments to define suitable technical or product-based solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver commercial and technical proposals.
  • Support tender processes, pricing activities, and offer preparation.
  • Ensure solutions meet technical, quality, and commercial requirements.

3. Account Management

  • Maintain regular communication with existing customers.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Support forecasting, planning, and sales reporting.
  • Ensure CRM data accuracy and timely updates of opportunities and activities.

4. Coordination & Internal Support

  • Collaborate with technical, logistics, product management, and commercial teams to ensure feasibility of offers and timelines.
  • Provide market feedback related to competition, pricing, and customer needs.
  • Support marketing initiatives and customer-specific campaigns.
  • Assist in coordinating project deliveries and customer follow-up.
  • Provide activity reports to the Country Sales Lead / regional management.

Requirements

Education & Technical Background

  • Degree in 
    Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar)
     OR equivalent technical sales experience.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts, drawings, and specifications.

Experience

  • 2–5+ years in 
    B2B technical sales
    , industrial distribution, or project-based sales.
  • Experience selling to contractors, OEMs, installers, industrial manufacturers, or construction-related companies is highly valued.
  • Proven track record of new business development and managing a sales pipeline.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong consultative selling style and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory.
  • Solid negotiation and commercial skills.
  • Organized, disciplined, and comfortable with CRM tools.
  • Customer-focused mindset with long-term relationship orientation.
  • Fluent in 
    Romanian
     and 
    English
     (required).
