We are looking for skilled Data Engineers with strong experience in Big Data ecosystems and ETL processes to join a migration project, moving existing data pipelines from Pentaho to a modern Databricks-based architecture. You will be part of a dedicated 4-person team, contributing to the redesign, optimization, and modernization of the entire data workflow.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and understand existing ETL jobs developed in Pentaho (Kettle).
  • Redesign and migrate data pipelines to Databricks.
  • Develop scalable pipelines using PySpark / Spark SQL.
  • Optimize performance and ensure data quality across the migration process.
  • Implement best practices for ingestion, transformations, and data quality.
  • Work closely with architects and technical stakeholders.
  • Document solutions and provide support throughout the transition.
Required Skills
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Solid ETL knowledge and hands-on experience with Pentaho (Pentaho Data Integration).
  • Strong experience with Databricks, Spark / PySpark, and Delta Lake.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure Databricks is a plus).
  • Advanced SQL skills & experience with data modeling.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and orchestration tools (Airflow, ADF, or similar is a plus).
  • Ability to understand complex data flows and translate them into modern, efficient solutions.
