We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the highest quality of our innovative products and solutions within the Rohde-Schwarz Critical Infrastructure & Networks division. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing product quality, directly impacting customer satisfaction and the overall success of our solutions. Join our dynamic global team, collaborating on cutting-edge software and hardware development projects.

Your tasks

  • Ensure product quality through rigorous testing and validation processes
  • Take ownership of day-to-day quality issues and escalate as necessary
  • Collaborate closely with R&D System Engineering and Support teams to identify and implement optimal technical solutions
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive suite of user scenarios, test cases, and checklists, while manually executing functional and non-functional tests
  • Drive best practices for manual test execution and management
  • Design, deploy, and maintain the internal infrastructure needed for testing
  • Analyze real-world customer issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions
  • Build and maintain Testing Systems/Environments.

Your Qualifications

  • University degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong foundation in QA methodologies and tools
  • Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
  • Familiarity with test management tools (such as JIRA, TestRail) for tracking test cases and defects
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash and/or Python, with hands-on experience in Linux environments
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, OpenStack, oVirt, Proxmox)
  • Good understanding of networking concepts (L2/L3) and network problem debugging
  • Familiarity with telecommunications and VOIP protocols
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure according to R&D priorities
  • Highly organized with a commitment to continuous learning and growth.
