What you'll own as the Senior Systems Architect

As an IT Architect, you'll help design the foundation for how our global fintech platforms perform and scale. Your expertise will influence selecting, operating and administering systems and software for our acquiring platform, and building solutions across the acquiring domain as it expands in capabilities across new business opportunities.
You will be working as part of a team of system architects defining the platform architecture across multiple domains within the Acquiring landscape, building end-to-end solutions and architectural patterns to ensure the platform can perform at scale.

• Providing solution design leadership to engineering teams and to be accountable for the technology design of one or more technology domains.

• Defining and maintaining a library of functional component models for Worldpay product lines.

• Building highly scalable services in hybrid cloud environments, leveraging modern day design patterns including event driven system design.

• Documenting and socialising system architecture roadmaps and designs to business and technical audiences.

• Standardising documentation and applying technology governance around architectural patterns to be applied on the platform.

• Exploring new business domains and providing architectural oversight to impact on existing platform.

What you'll bring

• Expertise with end-to-end systems development life cycles and a background leading large projects.

• Five or more years in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment, working with relational or hierarchical databases.

• Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques.

• A bachelor's in computer science or engineering, or the equivalent experience – post-graduate education desired.
