Chief Accountant (Romanian & English)

Location: Ilfov, Romania

Industry: Home Furniture / Upholstery Fabric / Furniture

For our promising e-commerce client, we are seeking a Chief Accountant to manage financial operations and ensure compliance.

The role requires working on-site, 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilitie

  • Full accounting operations: accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, financial reporting
  • Manage import/export documentation for European markets
  • Support online sales accounting and track transactions in e-commerce platforms
  • Prepare VAT, tax, and compliance reports
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize financial workflows
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years accounting experience, preferably in international trade or e-commerce
  • Romanian & English fluency
  • Knowledge of European VAT and import/export regulations
  • Experience with online sales platforms and accounting software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
