WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • You work as a platform / cloud engineer in cross-functional product teams on the technical implementation of the platform architecture and infrastructure.

  • You ensure the development of the cloud platform / infrastructure based on data interfaces, cybersecurity and DevOps specifications.

  • You work closely with cloud architects, backend developers and data engineers of the platform to ensure effective development of cloud services.

  • You will also work on creating platform roadmaps and ensuring their technical feasibility.

  • The examination of architectural designs for integration feasibility is part of your area of ​​responsibility.

  • Ultimately, you are responsible for planning and implementing solutions for the continuous quality assurance of cloud services.

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

  • Completed technical/university studies in computer science, engineering or a comparable education.

  • Several years of proven experience in the technical implementation of platform and/or cloud solutions.

  • Sound knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, Scala, Python, SQL or R), as well as one scripting or automation language (e.g. Bash, Terraform, Ansible, Helm charts).

  • Experience in agile software development.

  • Very good knowledge of at least two storage protocols (e.g. SMB, NFS or S3) and a relevant security technology (e.g. OAuth, JWT, LDAP, AD or Kerberos).

  • Basic understanding of Kubernetes (especially RedHat OpenShift is an advantage), as well as micro-services architectures.

  • Very good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
