Role Overview
As a
Stock Controller
, you will play a key role in ensuring optimal inventory levels and efficient stock rotation while maintaining high availability of products across our operations. You will also be involved in the end-to-end procurement process, from placing orders to final delivery, including supplier coordination and logistics support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control inventory levels efficiently to maintain optimal stock turnover and product availability.
- Monitor and analyze stock evolution, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts and operational needs.
- Prepare and place supply orders, verify confirmations from suppliers (quantitative and financial), and resolve any discrepancies.
- Enter and validate purchase orders in the system; track orders through to final receipt.
- Analyze stock aging structure, propose and implement solutions to reduce overstock and aging inventory.
- Optimize procurement costs by adjusting orders and delivery schedules based on supplier performance and business priorities.
- Liaise with suppliers to set delivery calendars and prioritize urgent needs.
- Follow up on and manage non-conformities in the acquisition process, ensuring timely resolution.
- Organize logistics activities including transport, loading, and unloading of goods; manage transport tender processes per shipment.
- Prepare and manage documentation for customs clearance, if applicable.
- Ensure timely receipt of inbound shipment documents and prepare the necessary documents for Intrastat declarations.
Candidate Profile – Requirements
- University degree in Economics or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative inventory quality assurance practices.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and structured thinking.
- Strong team spirit and excellent communication skills.
- Discipline in adhering to internal procedures and corporate policies.
- Proven ability to work effectively with large datasets and meet deadlines.
