Automation Engineer

For our client, the
European market leader in factory automation for the blow moulding industry, located near Baia Mare, we are looking for an experienced
Automation Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the operational functionality of the equipment and collaborate with various internal teams and external suppliers to successfully deliver projects.
• Handle the functional specifications and documentation for the programs.
• Execute programming tasks (PLC/HMI/Motion/Safety) and conduct thorough machine testing.
• Partner with the Electrical Engineering team on all new development initiatives.
• Provides support to the production team during the start-up of the machines.
• Develop comprehensive user guides and start-up manuals.
• Provide post-sales support to clients, both remotely and directly at the customer's location.

Requirements:

• Technical University Degree
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in industrial automation or machine building projects
• Proficient in PLC programming knowledge of Omron and Siemens is a strong asset
• Practical understanding of machinery directives and machine safety standards is a plus
• Good command of English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus
• Analytical and structured approach
• Problem-solver
• Prepared for occasional travel to customer sites.
