Position: Master Data Specialist

Job description:

The Master Data Specialist is responsible for entering, modifying, and maintaining data across SAP and the internal Master Data Portal. This role works closely with Supply Chain and other business stakeholders to ensure that all product information is accurate, complete, and optimized. Tasks each day are generally routine to the creation or modification of materials, but also include support in analyzing key data, developing and implementing data systems and strategies, and ensuring the integrity of information across platforms.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Open Vendors and Material codes and maintain them in SAP for all countries
  • Execute changes to SAP master data (e.g., materials, suppliers, etc.) as approved by the business
  • Work with the internal Master Data Portal to check and validate that all product information is accurate, complete, and compliant with business requirements
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders to ensure that any unclear or missing information is clarified and corrected, following up with all parties involved until the job is completed properly
  • Follow internal global rules for the creation and set-up of Material and Vendor codes
  • Ensure data quality, compliance, and consistency of master data across business systems
  • Support monitoring of data integrity, process adherence, and issue resolution during ERP go-live
  • Assist in developing reports, dashboards, and analysis to support business decisions
  • Provide training and support to end-users on master data management processes
  • Support the business with required procedures, submit incidents, and raise change requests when needed
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and actively contribute to master data governance initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Fluent English
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Process improvement and results-oriented mindset
  • Knowledge of data management principles and best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and investigate topics related to multiple business areas
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with SAP or a proven record of database management skills
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and integration with other platforms
