Role Overview
We are looking for an
ABAP Developer
to join our product development team, which includes a Product Owner, Scrum Master, and other development colleagues. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining new express service provider interfaces within our logistics product solution. You will work on prototyping, feasibility studies, and API integrations while ensuring the high quality of deliverables through testing and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and support new express service provider interfaces in shipping logistics.
  • Design and implement software solutions using ABAP, leveraging SAP PI/PO and optionally Java skills.
  • Conduct prototyping and feasibility studies to evaluate new service provider connections.
  • Document technical solutions in Confluence for consulting teams and customers.
  • Ensure solution quality through ABAP Unit Tests and Zephyr Scale testing.
  • Collaborate closely with the product development team and technical response teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or completed IT specialist training (application development), or equivalent qualification.
  • Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in ABAP development and SAP PI/PO.
  • Experience with SOAP/REST API development and ABAP Unit Testing.

  • Optional skills in one or more of the following:

  • Java development

  • SAP SD or SAP EWM modules
  • Adobe Forms Development

  • ABAP Proxies

  • Strong communication skills; fluency in English is required (German is a plus).

  • Willingness to travel to Bielefeld for on-site training.
