About Flutter UKI

Flutter UK & Ireland are the UKI region of Flutter Entertainment. They unite a dozen brands including powerhouses Paddy Power, Betfair, Tombola and Sky Betting & Gaming, bringing together hundreds of teams and thousands of colleagues, who create trusted entertainment for millions of customers every week.

Role Overview:

Position holder is required to work in teams alongside Back End Developers, QA Engineers, Graphic Designers and User Experience Designers to ensure all elements of web creation are consistent.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Review product specifications in order to give development estimates and product feedback
• Innovative technical design and creation of technical specifications
• Work in an Agile environment
• Software creation, adhering to and feeding back into departmental standards and guidelines
• Technical documentation that shares knowledge effectively
• Responsible for ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages, among other duties
• Front End Developers are required to work in teams alongside Back end Developers, Graphic Designers and User Experience Designers to ensure all elements of web creation are consistent;
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders
• Use computers or computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write programs, set up functions, enter data, or process information

Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required:

• Good understanding of the design, implementation, and consumption of REST API's
• Complete understanding of all browser-based technologies, especially browser DOMs, JavaScript, DHTML/CSS, performance
• Proficient in Javascript
• Knowledge of CSS3, HTML5 and emerging technologies
• Solid practice of using ES6+
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries, such as React, TypeScript, jQuery, Angular
• Experience with popular ReactJS workflows (such as Redux)
• Packaging/build tools (e.g. NPM, Webpack)
• Experience of using established design patterns
• Familiar with CI tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• 5-6 years experience in a Web UI development position

Desirable skills:

• Understanding of the full development cycle and some experience of Agile development methodologies (SCRUM)
• Experience with content management systems
• An eye for visual precision and attention to detail
• Understanding of and experience with application architectures (client/server, web, database)
• Experience with any other JS front-end frameworks
• Good Understanding of SSR and its benefits and use cases, knowledge in Node JS framework
