A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Senior Payroll Analyst at MKS, you will partner with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple European locations.

In this role, you will report to the Payroll Manager for EMEAI, based in Bucharest. You will be supporting payroll activities for our European locations and Israel. You will work in an international outsourced payroll environment, ensuring compliance and accuracy across multiple jurisdictions.

The role is hybrid, with office presence at our Bucharest site - close to Anghel Saligny subway station.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Ensuring payroll is processed with speed and accuracy in compliance with company policies.
  • Acting as a liaison between employees and third-party payroll vendors to guarantee accurate payroll processing.
  • Auditing employee pay records and reconciling totals by department, location, and country.
  • Coordinating third-party payroll system implementations and upgrades.
  • Interpreting pay policies (e.g., vacation, LOA, disability, workers' compensation, union contracts, government regulations) and ensuring correct deductions and calculations.
  • Assuring compliance with payroll requirements and staying up to date with changes in legislation.
  • Assisting with audits of internal records, workers' compensation, tax filings, and related documentation.
  • Documenting payroll processes and procedures and providing training to other payroll staff when needed.

Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of related experience in payroll administration.
  • Strong expertise in international payroll and knowledge of payroll processes in European countries (example: France, Italy, Spain).
  • Experience working in an international outsourced payroll environment.
  • Workday knowledge is highly preferred.
  • Fluent in English (mandatory); additional languages are a plus: French, Italian.
  • Ability to interpret and apply pay policies and government regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with multi-country payroll management.
  • Familiarity with union contracts and related payroll implications.
  • Knowledge of tax filings and workers' compensation audits.
